Sri Rama, the seventh avatar of Lord Vishnu, is revered as the perfect king, the ideal son, and the supreme example of righteousness (dharma). His divine life, as portrayed in the Ramayana by Sage Valmiki, continues to serve as a guiding light for individuals seeking truth, duty, and moral strength.
Born in Ayodhya to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya, Sri Rama is the personification of maryada purushottama—the highest standard of human conduct. From a young age, He displayed virtues such as humility, truthfulness, courage, compassion, and unwavering devotion to dharma.
When banished to the forest for 14 years to honor His father’s promise, Sri Rama accepted the exile with grace, accompanied by His devoted wife Sita and loyal brother Lakshmana. His life in the forest was marked by humility, trials, and the epic battle against the demon king Ravana, who had abducted Sita. With the help of Hanuman and the vanara sena (monkey army), Rama restored justice and rescued Sita, reaffirming the victory of righteousness over evil.
Upon returning to Ayodhya, Sri Rama ruled as a noble and just king—Rama Rajya—symbolizing an ideal and prosperous society guided by dharma, compassion, and truth.
Sri Rama’s life is not just a tale of divine heroism but a timeless message on living with integrity, loyalty, and humility. Devotees chant His holy names—Raghunandana, Ramachandra, Dasharathanandan, and Sitapati—with love and reverence. His divine name, Rama Nama, is believed to purify the heart and uplift the soul.
Festivals like Rama Navami and Diwali celebrate His birth and triumphant return to Ayodhya, bringing communities together in devotion and joy.
In the words of the saints and scriptures:
“Rama is not just a name—it is the essence of all dharma, the light of wisdom, and the path to liberation.”
May the grace of Sri Rama bless your life with truth, strength, and serenity.
Sri Ramaya Namah.
